Yuva Utsav (Youth Festival) 2023

Yuva Utsav (Youth Festival) was jointly organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra and HATIM on 14th July, 2023 at the HATIM Campus, Kawmzawl, Lunglei.
The Yuva Utsav was organized to celebrate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in the spirit of Yuva Shakti, with the aim of spreading the ideals and values of India's Freedom Struggle. It served as a mark of the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence and aimed to generate appreciation for the diverse spiritual and cultural heritage of the country among the masses. This initiative intended to reignite the spirit of patriotism and the values of India's freedom struggle by involving the youth in various events progressing from district level to state and national levels. The theme of the program was "Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal - India @2047.
As part of the program, there was a special focus on engaging youths between the ages of 18 and 29. Various activities were organized, including a Young Artist Talent Hunt, a Declamation contest, and a Cultural Festival featuring a lively Folk Dance Competition.
The Chief Guest for this Programme is Dr. Vanlaltanpuia, MLA, Chairman, Mizoram Youth Commission.
The inaugural programme was held in HATIM Auditorium. Pi Mercy Sellate, Deputy Director, NYK gave a speech to welcome the attendees. Devotions was done by Rev. F. Zorinkhuma, Secretary, MTKP. Addl. DC, Lunglei, the Chief Guest, Dr. Vanlaltanpuia and Mr. Vuansanga Vanchhawng, Principal HATIM gave inspiring and informative speeches to address the attendees.
Declamation Contest and Cultural / Folk Dance Competition was held after the inaugural session. The competion was hosted by Ms. Janet Lawmsangzuali , Assistant professor , HATIM.
Prize distribution was held after the competitions. Mr. R.Lalnunthara, Vice Principal HATIM gave vote of thanks and the programme concluded.
In addition to the main programme and competitions, various stalls were opened in the college campus. There are a total of 14 stalls which consists of food stalls, handicraft stall, photo, art and poetry exhibition centre, and Govt. Departmental Exhibition stalls.

There were a total of around 600-700 attendess in the festival. Overall, the Yuva Utsav 2023 at HATIM, Lunglei was a successful and memorable event for Youth for discovering their talents and progressing their journey from State to National Level.
